Willie Nelson One of America’s Music Icons

Willie Nelson is gearing up for his 2012 tour once again to serenade us with his true American spirit. The iconic singer/songwriter has beyond question been woven into our society since the 70′s writing and releasing songs in all styles of music, which have become absolute standards.

For example, some of Willie’s top hits include “Angel Flying too Close to the Ground”,”Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain”, “On the Road Again” and my personal favorite “Pancho and Lefty” with Merle Haggard most of which have graced the silver screen, television, and radio before taking the stage on his annual tour across the United States and abroad.

In addition, to Willie and the songs he is famous for, some of his possessions have became famous symbols, such as the World famous “Honey Suckle Rose”, which has been Willie’s touring bus for many decades. Also, Willie’s old acoustic guitar he has worn a whole in and don’t forget the red, white, and blue guitar strap and bandanna that adorn the venerable singer on stage.

Therefore, to see Willie out tour, is getting a chance to spend a few hours with a piece of living history. A man that has defined himself as an outlaw living life on his on terms and enjoying life to the fullest while doing it. Willie is a constant testament to the true western spirit and an american treasure.
